Established in 2010, Coffee Lab & Roasters -- Evanston (Coffee Lab or "The Lab") is an independently owned specialty coffee shop located on Noyes street, just a five minute walk from Northwestern University's north campus community.
Known for it's high quality, fresh roasted specialty coffee that's served pour-over style, The Lab also stays true to a classic espresso bar menu serving traditional espresso based beverages prepared by well trained baristas who love the craft. Our beans from around the world are fresh roasted on a weekly basis by our very own local roasting specialist. Upon entering our doors, one will also notice the presence of a strong international flare with our home made artisan pastries influenced by Filipino, Korean, and Japanese recipes along side our home made specialty scones and baked goods.
Their most famous for their traditional classic espresso bar, fresh roasted coffee beans (small batch roasting weekly so no stale coffee beans here), the purple ube latte, home made scones, and their home made butter mochi cakes (traditional Filipino mochi cakes called bibingka and kalamay).
Coffee Lab Evanston, is known for being the the special meeting place for the close knit Noyes street community -- which we have endearingly considered a tiny village on its own.

Its the perfect place to stop in for an amazing cappuccino, a unique pastry, or a breakfast sandwich while on your way to work or class. Oh, and if you're an Ube fan, Sundays are quite special in that we dedicate a large portion of our baking to making Filipino pastries and buns.
